Between 16 and 20 July 2023, an EDEMTET workshop and summerschool were held in Nanjing University. About 50 graduate students or upper-level undergraduates students from 29 universities participated in the summer school. Among the different participating institutes were Wuhan university, Guangxi Medical university. Zhejiang University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and Xi‘an Jiao Tong University; all from different provinces.
Alongside with the summerschool, a teacher training – workshop was held. Chinese Teachers were trained in case selection and case discussion and in use of EDEMTET materials in blended learning approaches.
Students and teachers look back on a very successful learning experience. They demonstrated good teamwork and particularly learned to concentrate more on the level of the patient rather than just on the tooth or mouth level when making treatment plans.
